Buying a 2nd hand bow I say “Buyer beware!” I would take it all to a reputable bow shop and let the Bow Smith take a look at it. Sounds like the bow has the wrong diameter string or the cams are out of alignment. But the bottom line, take it to a shop and let them do a scratch and sniff and trouble shoot it and yes your arrows are too short. The new rest sets forward than the original or previous rest.

28" Carbon Express Gold Tip 5575 I use with Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain at 310ish fps. Sighted in at 30, 40 and 50 yards. Measurement from the 30 yard to the 50 yard pin is just shy of 3/4 inch. I can take the measurement between the 30 and 40 and add it to the 50 and hit at 60.

Tell those naysayers go take a hike! 30-30 placed in the boiler room will do just fine!! A 30-30 at the muzzle with a 170 grain has just as much velocity as a 30-06 180 grain at 200 yards. I've witnessed several hunters use 30-30 on Moose with no problem, so go figure! Ranges within 150 yards you'll have BACK STRAP on the breakfast table!! timberdoodle, About WSM's and WSSM's, overrated and overpriced! Ill stick to "Regular Gas!"

I remember in Arizona back in the 60's and 70's, cattle disease were taking there toll on deer. For cattle, antibiotics were easy to administer as for wildlife not!

Hands down for the biggest bang for the "BUCK", the Remington 700 25-06. It's like crossing the trajectory of the 22-250 with the knokdown power of a 270! 25-06 you can fnd it at any local store, low recoil, easy on the wallet and is superior in everyway over the 25 WSSM!

I've shot more Mule Deer out to 700 yards all with one shot kills with by 22-250 with a 55 grain Hornady Soft Point as with any other lareger caliber I have including my 300 Win Mag I had at the time. I sold my 300 Win Mag and replaced it with a 25-06. So the answer is? You bet it will and give you back change!! Also the 25-06 is the smallest recommended cartridge for Elk.
License yes, tag no! Did you hear about the squirrel hunting contest last year? The fella who won it didn't use a rifle, he "Uglied them to death"! Since this was a team competition he was asked were was his wife? She stayed home this time; she tore them up to much!

If he is Left Eye dominate, then he should shoot left handed. As for the right handed rifle, he will find a way to master it trust me!

Today's rounds are buffered and during recoil some of the buffering comes out and gets into the action causing problems. If your able to take the action apart do so, but I would shoot it until you find the cause!

If you ask this guy who has been around the track, I suggest the 25-06. The 25-06 is the smallest recommended cartridge recommended for Elk. It's like crossing a 22-250 with a 270, flat shooting and still hard hitting!

I use 265 grain 44 cal Hornady .430 44 CAL 265 GR FP item #4300 with a Thompson Center Magnum Sabot and 150 grains of 777 with nail driving accuracy. I'm going to try the .430 44 CAL 265 GR FTX (for 444 Marlin) item #4305 this year. 300 grain is too heavy!

I’ve lost two nice bucks in a row using mechanicals! I use nothing but 100 grain 3 bladed Muzzy’s!! They fly just as good a blow thru like a bullet at 50 yards!!! 28 inch gold Tip at 310ish fps
using your optics to look at something? Close Searching a hillside, valley, mountain side or ridgeline etc with optics in search of. Kinda like looking for a needle in a hay stack!

Go to a reputable bow shop and do it right, you’ll be glad you did! It all depends on the distance from your rest to the knocking point plus the distance of the mechanical release or fingers. Using a mechanical release I find is a must! HECK WITH THE DEER STAND!
Aaron1991, what have been smoking SON! They shoot the exact same bullet just the 30-06 shoots it faster that means it's flatter, farther and harder hitting than the 308 Win or 7.72 NATO! O’Brother!
220 grain is too heavy and I’ve tried 250’s just for grins and giggles and it’s like throwing bricks with the trajectory of one. LOL! The heaviest I shoot are 190’s even for Moose

I can give a song and dance on what’s best but I’m not. Take it from this Crusty Ol’NCO who has Bun Dar & Dun Dat or Seen Dat! Take the 30-06! I’ve witnessed more “BANG FLOP” kills on Moose with the 30-06with over the counter ammo like 180 grain Remington Core-Lokt® than any other rifle in the hands of the average “Joe the Hunter”! Yes I have a 338 Win Mag and if I was your guide, I would hand you my 30-06 for a sure kill! As ken.mcloud said it best on Field and Stream blog! “So, I think that the superior killing power of larger rounds is largely in our heads.(likely testosterone induced) A flat-shooting round that you can accurately place will produce as many if not more "bang-flop" kills as a heavy caliber round.”
WD-40 is actually stands for Water Displacement (Formula #) 40! It was accidently discovered and first primarily used on the Atlas missile program at Vandenberg AFB California. The missile gantries were located right on the Pacific coast close enough you can throw a rock in the ocean. The salty moist air was hell on electronic. As for a lubricant it’s a fantastic anti rust preventative, but I use regular gun oil for moving parts and for extreme cold arctic weather I used both WD40 and automatic transmission fluid as lubricants using no oil. NO JOKE!
The Rem. 7600 your restricted to what I call "Gas gun loads"! There are high performance ammunition like Hornady Light Magnum you can not shoot because of the increased gas pressure which would damage the rifle.
