I just got back from a 6 day August trip to maine (Belgrade Lakes area) THE BEST FISHING I HAVE EVER DONE - BIG large mouths - BIG small mouths and GREAT SUMMER pike fishing 5 mins away! Everything was there - great meals- great cabins - lunch packed in a cooler - bring a boat or rent theirs - no time limit at night to have boats back-in to the docks! - on location tackle shop (and very very reasonable pricing for the stay and tackle) I went there with my son 14, ÇÇ we fished hard and lost count of all the fish we caught - with lots of bass over 4 lbs -- and when things got slow there were plenty of bald eagles-loons and osprey to watch along with great sunsets. whisperwood lodge (on the web) ask for candee/doug A FISHING PARADISE - THIS IS A CATCH & RELEASE LODGE made the trip that much better for me!!!!!!!
