Tip of the Day: The Right Brakes

There are lots of different brake pads that use a lot of different compounds to bring your quad to a halt. But what are the right kind of brakes for your machine?

Sintered metal pads, which usually come stock on a quad, are great for mud riding or any other kind of riding where you get a lot of grit coming in contact with the brake pads (such as mud riding). If you're more into high-speed racing and trail riding, you should consider putting a pad with a composite compound on your machine. They are a little softer and provide better braking feel, but the trade-off is you'll have to change the brake pads more often.
