Ultimate Outdoor Hack: Make a Heater from a Coffee Can

Whether you're icefishing or hunting from a blind, cold hands are no fun. Here's how to make a simple heater.

Gather an empty 1-pound coffee can, a roll of toilet paper, and a pint of isopropyl alcohol. Remove the cardboard from the roll, place the roll in the can, and then add the alcohol. The toilet paper serves as a wick. Drop in a lit match and your heater is complete. Add more alcohol as needed, but extinguish the flame before doing so, then re-light. Only use the heater outside or in a well-ventilated place.
