Last year’s harvest was down slightly due to warm weather, so if there’s a cold winter, hunters should find plenty of deer this year. The only concern is that enough does are harvested to control deer numbers across the state and that the take of yearling bucks is limited to no more than 60 percent of the total antlered harvest.
