“We’re going into the season with an all-time high of 575,000 whitetails,” says biologist Mike Reynolds. In response, 24 counties in the southeast will have a three-deer limit. And Ohio’s big-buck reputation should remain intact. “We have excellent habitat and a herd in tune with it,” Reynolds says. “That’s why we grow big deer.”
