Federal Duck Stamp funds buy more land for 10 refuges.

Thanks to proceeds from the Federal Duck Stamp program-paid for by hunters like you-the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission recently approved funding that will add more than 16,000 acres to 10 existing national wildlife refuges.

  • 1,082 acres added to Red River National Wildlife Refuge in Louisiana
  • 1,073 acres added to Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge in Maine and New Hampshire
  • 622 acres added to Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge in New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts
  • 486 acres added to the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge in West Virginia.
  • 255 acres added to the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge in Texas
  • 92 acres added to Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey
  • 34 acres added to Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Maine
