In Stevens, Ferry and Pend Oreille counties, extra antlerless whitetail permits have been issued; most northeastern counties hold good whitetails. Target mule deer in the Columbia basin and Methow and Okanogan valleys of north-central Washington. For blacktails, focus on the Olympic Peninsula and Cascade Range forests. Region 5, on the coast, offers a special any-deer youth permit for blacktails.
