Because there were no other flights that day, the luggage would arrive late the next day, and I’d have to fly without it. I was supposed to leave for another hunt in British Columbia, so I made my early morning flight to Prince Rupert minus luggage. The original plan was to get to Prince Rupert in mid-morning, WITH the luggage, and head out on a hunt via a large boat that would serve as base camp. Because there were other hunters waiting for me, I didn’t want to delay their hunt, so I arranged to charter a bush plane and fly me the next morning directly to the boat.
