*Angler Bucky Dennis shows off the dentures on his potential world-record hammerhead shark. The monster was caught with a live stingray in Boca Grande Pass on Florida's Gulf coast. Final measurements were 14 feet, 3 inches long, weighing 1,280 pounds. Outdoor Life Online Editor*

The giant hammerhead featured on the website and in the magazine was officially accepted yesterday, July 25th, as the new all-tackle world record, and 130 lb. class record by IGFA.

It was accepted at the 1280 lb. weight.

The line had about 8-9 hours of fishing on it, including a previous fight with another big shark. Average of break tests was a tad over 100 lbs. New, the line would have been closer to the 130 lb. mark.
