This morning we were greeted with dense fog, and there was a chill to the air. Though it’s mid-June, this is winter in the southern hemisphere. We loaded up in the hunting van, and were at the dove field in 10 minutes, a different place that we’d hunted the afternoon before.

We set up, again about 50 yards apart, and immediately saw birds flying, in flocks up to a few dozen or more. Shooting was incredible, but tricky. Birds appeared out of the fog about 80 yards away, and we had just a split second to react.
