Bill Crutchfield, Jr. of Charles County, Maryland, had a great day. He went out and killed what should become the new state record non-typical whitetail! It will likely eclipse the current record by 40 inches.

Crutchfield watched the giant for 2 hours at midday before he got his chance. He dropped the massive freak with a single shotgun round.

Maryland DNR staff examined the buck and noted it had 26 scorable points (13 per side) and a preliminary score of 268 5/8 inches.

Hanback has a picture of the brute on his blog. Click here to see it.
