This morning’s hunt was something I hadn’t expected. When you think Argentina bird hunting, you think thousands of birds flying around. It’s more of a shoot than a hunt. So I was delightfully surprised when we hunted spotted tinamou this morning, a partridge that inhabits brushy and weedy fields. We used a German shorthair, which turned out to be a superb dog, and a mongrel that was a cross between a huge poodle and who knows what else.
