It may not be Rudolph with his “nose so bright,” but a wayward muley buck in the Colorado Springs, Colo., area is certainly doing what he can to brighten things up this holiday season. The mule deer has been spotted on several occasions around a local neighborhood after it apparently got tangled in somebody’s Christmas lights. The string of lights are wrapped around his antlers and hanging down around his head as you can see from the photo supplied from our friend, J.R. Absher, at outdoorpressroom.com.
A spokesperson for the Division of Wildlife told local station KKTV that “as long as the lights aren’t covering the deer’s mouth or tangled on its feet they’ll leave him alone.”
Officials expect the problem to resolve itself once the buck drops his antlers later in the winter.
