Potential State Record Buck Taken in Connecticut

When I opened a text message with this photo attached, my jaw dropped. This was a monster buck - especially for the East Coast.

Earlier this week a giant non-typcial buck was taken by a bowhunter in the town of East Haddam, Connecticut. The massive main frame 12-pointer reportedly green scored 226 6/8" and is possibly the new non-typical archery state record in Connecticut.

The buck field dressed at 170 pounds and was spotted a week earlier by the hunter as it walked down his grandmother's drive way. The buck was well known among some of the locals who had seen it over the past few seasons.

I still get buck fever every time I see the picture of this massive whitetail. If you have any additional details on this buck please email me at marc@nybowhunter.com.
