There is a lot of folklore and mystery behind catching muskies. Many fishermen including myself, fall victim to the muskie’s alias, “The Fish of Ten Thousand Casts,” trying every plug, bucktail, and spoon in our tackleboxes. Sometimes, it’s just not that complicated.

After joking with his buddies that he was going to throw the leftovers of the chicken carcass from dinner the night before, the gentleman in the video below hooked the carcass to a chartreuse bucktail and gave the bird a fling overboard. As the angler is about to pull the bird from the water, a muskie comes up and assaults the chicken in classic muskie fashion.
