Reform the ATF

Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea writes on examiner.com on Sept. 7 and 8 that he can find "no Constitutional justification" for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Some take a softer line, he notes, such as Rep. Zack Space (R-OH) and Rep. Steve King (R-IA) who believe the agency can be reformed. They have co-sponsored they say is backed by "defenders of the Second Amendment" in the House of Representatives. This is a "companion bill" to legislation introduced to the Senate in April by Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID), Codrea reports.
