This video (click here) isn’t in English but that doesn’t matter since it very clearly speaks in the international language of “cool.”
The saddest part to me is that I nearly had a chance to shoot in this facility a year ago while doing a whirlwind tour of German makers. Before I had even seen the building my interest was at a fever pitch. Anytime someone tells you about a 300-meter indoor shooting range, that’s bound to happen. And that was before I heard about the indoor shotgunning.
One of the coolest things is the video replays of the bullet path through the animals on screen. Talk about a useful–and potentially humbling–tool.
I don’t even want to know how much it costs to shoot a round at this place. But the dedication that German gun owners have to their sport is one reason that they are held in such high regard in places like Africa. Talk to PHs down there and they tend to think very highly of both American and German marksmanship.
