Gunmaker Stoeger has teamed up with Realtree to offer the M3500 shotgun in two new Realtree camo patterns: Realtree MAX-4 and Realtree APG.

Introduced last year, the Stoeger M3500 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun is a great choice for waterfowl, wild turkey or upland game bird hunters, as it handles a full range of loads, from 2 ¾-inch up to the potent 3 ½-inch Magnum without adjustment.

As this writer can attest (having used the shotgun several times on a recent Canada duck hunt), the M3500 points well, knocks down birds very effectively, and fires 3 ½ inch magnums without traumatizing your shoulder. For the later, credit Stoeger’s proven Inertia Driven ® operating system. The M3500’s Inertia Driven® action is contained primarily within the receiver, giving the shotgun a better, more-centered balance and swing. With no propellant gas venting into the action, the M3500 also stays cleaner longer.

It comes with either a 24-, 26- or 28-inch barrel, fitted with a ventilated, stepped rib and fiber-optic front sight for quick target acquisition even under low-light hunting conditions. The alloy receiver is drilled and tapped and includes a Weaver-style scope base. All M3500’s come with five choke tubes (extra-full turkey, full, modified, improved-cylinder and cylinder), a shim kit for drop and cast adjustment, and a threaded steel recoil reducer that can be installed in the buttstock to help manage felt recoil from heavy magnum loads.
