The Taurus 22PLY and 25PLY are built on polymer frames with steel inserts. That makes already light firearms into super-light carry pistols weighing only 10.8 ounces, and with an overall length of just 4.8 inches. Both models feature a blowback, double action operation.
The reverse fish-scale serrations on the slide give these diminutive handguns a sleek look. The extended magazine base and full body contouring provide for a surprisingly large and comfortable grip, and has polymer grips. The trigger guard is designed for added finger purchases.
The magazine release is conveniently located on the trigger guard for quick changes; a magazine disconnect and manual safety are standard on both models. Capacity is 8+1 .22LR rounds in the 22PLY, and 9+1 .25 ACP rounds in the 25PLY. Available in blued or stainless steel finishes.
