Animal Rights Extremists Harass Olympic Trap Shooter Through Social Media

A two-time Olympic trap-shooter is being harassed by intellectually bankrupt "animal rights" people-haters because she discusses how much she enjoys hunting in her biography.

Corey Cogdell is a 25-year-old Olympic trap shooter who became the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in trap-shooting when she took the bronze at the 2008 Beijing games. She finished 11th in the London games.

When it was publicized in her Olympic bio that the Eagle River, Alaska, resident is an avid hunter, anti-hunting zealots and "animal rights" creeps aggressively attacked her using social media, spewing thousands of violent tweets and establishing a Facebook page, "Corey Cogdell Please Stop Killing Animals For Sport."

At last count, there were 1,643 members.

Among the tweets and Facebook comments:
"I hope that someone someday shoot your whole family just practicing."

"Please go shoot yourself in the knees. YOU ANIMAL MURDERER!! you're a disgusting human being."

"Kill yourself please ! (sic)"

"I really hope the olympic games do something about this murderer. sad, so sad maybe she needs to feel a shoot to understand (sic)."

John Ehrenfeld, the administrator of the Facebook page, "Corey Cogdell Please Stop Killing Animals For Sport," calls Cogdell "a cowardly, vile person" and said "She should not be representing the United States at the Olympics."

The irony, of course, is while people such as Cogdell stand up for their rights -- and those of others -- while representing their nation in the glare of global competition, slithering back-biters such as Ehrenfeld snipe from the shadows.

They know no shame. See OL's interview with Corey Cogdell.
