My good friend, and sniper competition partner, Bill Wood is putting on a sniper challenge in Montana in early June. The Granite Creek Sniper Challenge is taking place from June 6-8 and promises to be a great time for anyone who likes to shoot practical precision rifle.

The match is going to have a mix of known and unknown target distances. Some stages are going to require unorthodox shooting positions, and you will need to range targets without the benefit of electronics on some stages. I’ve shot at this facility in the past and the terrain and wind will make for fun, challenging shots.

I’m still figuring out which rifle I’m going to use, but I’m leaning toward a 6.5 Creedmoor.

Hope to see you there.
