Yes. These are the end times.
This week Teva, makers of some of the best sandals on Earth, partnered with New York clothing company Grey Ant to create high heeled sandals. Sporting a 4-inch stiletto and Velcro straps, Teva states that these new Chic Sandals are “the most comfortable performance high heel on the planet.” Which leads me to ask, “Just how many performance high heels are there on the planet?” I’ve never heard of such a thing. And I get around.
The sandals are available in a black and white color scheme called “Worlds Unite” and in a tan version called “Natural.” Both retail for $330.00. They can be purchased at New High Mart in Los Angeles or at their online store. But before you buy a pair for your lady friend be sure to heed the site’s warning, “Not recommended for actual hiking, gardening, mountain climbing or Phish concerts.”
What do you think Outdoor Life readers? Will you plunk down $330 for a pair for that special lady in your life? Or will you buy a pair for yourself; you know to wear around the house when no one’s looking? I think I’ll go with “Natural.”
