Do it all this fall. Vincent Soyez

The April 2015 issue of Outdoor Life will be our second-annual “How To” issue. The theme this time around is “how to save money,” and we want you to contribute your best cash-saving tips for enjoying the outdoors.

These could be DIY projects for building something rather than buying it; creative ways of repurposing household items to meet an unintended need; or simply tips on finding the best deals on gear.

Please email your ideas, along with any photos and sketches, to (and type “How To” in the subject line) by January 5. We’ll run a selection of the best ones in the April issue.
