It’s not easy rescuing an angry moose–just ask the nine firefighters, police officers and game wardens who were called to a New Hampshire pool this weekend to remove a worked-up bull.
Multiple news sources are reporting that the bull moose either accidentally fell into the outdoor, below-ground pool, or mistook it for a more natural water source, and consequently could not get back out. Authorities also note it’s possible that the moose was wandering such unfamiliar–albeit residential–territory in hopes of finding a breeding partner.
The authorities were called in, and used a rope looped around the moose’s antlers to coax and pull it up the pool steps.
The moose was released back into the wild unharmed.
