Blog Claims that Pink Salmon In British Columbia's Fraser River Are Turning Yellow

Salmon in British Columbia are supposed to be pink, the pink salmon anyway. So when Alexandra Morton found four yellow ones in the Fraser River she went looking for answers. She started her quest for information on the Internet where she posted an open letter on her blog to Laura Richards, Pacific regional director of science for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, demanding an explanation.

Morton also demands an explanation for the more than 100,000 sockeye that have died of unknown causes in the same area. Morton continues by theorizing that native salmon may have been infected from farm raised salmon and that the government is suppressing information.

Richards has yet to reply. Time will tell if Morton's fears are substantiated.
