An unidentified individual from Hong Kong purchased an 82 pound golden snapper caught off the coast of Bangladesh this week for an astounding $38,000, reports BBC. That’s about $463 a pound! The American Free Press is quoting the purchaser as saying he bought the fish “for its tasty bladder and succulent flesh.”

This marks the first time I have ever seen the words “tasty” and “bladder” together in print. “Succulent flesh” I can believe. “Tasty bladder” not so much.

Golden snappers are rare off the coast of Bangladesh. Only about four a year are caught in the Bay of Bengal.
