Where is Alanis Morissette when you need her? Irony reared its ugly head in Norway when a driver swerved his car to avoid hitting a moose only to hit a bear instead.
The driver was on a country road some 140 miles north of Oslo around midnight last Wednesday when he spotted a moose. He swerved to avoid the animal not knowing that there was a bear a short distance behind it.
Local wildlife authority Svein Erik Bjorke told Reuters: “The driver had lost a bit of speed as he tried to avoid the moose before hitting the bear.”
The unidentified man was shaken but not seriously injured in the accident. His car suffered bear-collision damage however. And, as of press time, the bear has yet to be found, although there was a large blood trail..
Drive carefully no matter what country you’re in.
