This video shows just how nature – or in this case, rabbits – can get when left unchecked.
Known as “Rabbit Island” or “Bunny Island,” Okunoshima is a Japanese island overrun with rabbits. The island got that way when eight rabbits were brought to the island during World War II to test the affects of mustard gas. The rabbits multiplied as rabbits do over the years (I guess none of that gas was fatal) until the island became what you see above.
The island is well known as a tourist destination where visitors feed the pesky vermin.
