Anglers fishing off the coast of Bonita Springs, Florida this month were ecstatic to hook into a four foot black tip shark.
They were even more ecstatic–and shocked–when the shark was engulfed in one bite from a Goliath grouper.
Goliaths are an extremely large species with some specimens measuring upwards of 10 feet in length and weighing almost 800 pounds. The world record Goliath was caught off Fernandina Beach, Florida, in 1961. That monster weighed 681 pounds!
