Video: Leopard Stalks Warthog, Forgets How to Hunt

Tourists in South Africa’s Greater Kruger National Park captured video of a unique leopard.

This leopard isn’t like other leopards. The big cat is either wimpy, scared, or just plain confused.

This video, posted to YouTube last week by Kruger Sightings, shows a leopard waiting to pounce a warthog. When the leopard finally moves in to attack, it seems to forget how to follow through on the kill. The big cat hovers behind the pig, seemingly confused about what to do next.

Theories as to why the spotted cat lost face vary. Maybe it didn’t realize how big the warthog was until it got close, or perhaps the leopard wasn’t actually all that hungry.
