Finally after several days of minimal buck movement, it seems as if someone has flipped on the switch this morning in Kansas. Bucks were on the prowl everywhere and constantly this morning. I’ve seen 4 nice bucks that I guessed would score over 130 P&Y and passed up one shot opportunity.
The weather has seemingly been the biggest factor. Yesterday’s rain and wind gave way to temperatures in the 20s overnight. Right now it’s a bit cold and sunny with a light northwest wind.
Seems as if Outdoor Life’s weather channel was spot on with its temperature forecast for today. Moving deer sure makes it a lot more interesting out here.–Greg Gatto
