We’ve talked about the futility of rattling for mule deer. They just aren’t as responsive as whitetails, even in areas with high densities of mule deer bucks.
But that doesn’t mean mule deer don’t fight. In fact, rutting bucks will spar nearly to the death, pushing and attacking with a sort of ferocity that’s way out of balance with their docile reputation.
