At age 56, Jerry Adams retired and moved back to Harlan, Ky., the area in which he grew up. As a young boy, wild turkeys weren’t anywhere to be hunted around Harlan, but after a successful restocking effort by the state game department, Adams observes there is plenty of opportunity. After taking up the sport just this year and tagging his first turkey ever on May 2, the hunter concedes that he is now “hooked on turkey hunting.”

While I know it is actually against the back of your shoulder and pointing skyward safely behind your head, at first glance it looks like the muzzle is pointed right at your noggin! Yikes.
Jerry will be entered into our “Give Us The Bird” contest with prizes offered by Carry-Lite, Hunter’s Specialties, Knight & Hale, Quaker Boy, Primos, Woodhaven Custom Calls and Woods Wise. For complete details and rules, click here.
