Some of you Strut Zoners might recall Hunting Editor Andrew McKean’s trip to Hawaii last spring to hunt spring gobblers. This year, McKean and crew travelled to the Solitude Ranch in the Black Hills of Wyoming to hunt Merriam’s turkeys in the shadow of the Devil’s Tower national monument. McKean was once again invited by one of our favorite turkey hunting pros Ray Eye and Remington’s Linda Powell to sample what has to be some of the finest spring gobbler hunting anywhere. ( Check out the video after the break )
Don’t believe me? After just 3 days of hunting, the gang hammered 15 gobblers. Not too shabby.
Eye sent along a quick video highlight reel for us to check out–and drool over. That’s Linda Powell smoking a longbeard in the last segment. Andrew will post a gallery in the day’s ahead. Enjoy.
