At the Archery Trade Association show in Louisville, we got a look at Mathews’ brand new Halon series. The bow featured in the video above is the Halon X, which is the tall version of the bow. It has the following specs:
IBO speed: 330fps
Axle to Axle: 35″
Brace Height:7″
MSRP: $1,299

But, there are three other versions of the Halon (Halon 5, Halon 6, and Halon 7).

The Halon 5 is the speedster of the group with the following specs:
IBO speed: 353 FPS
Axle to Axle: 30″
Brace Height: 5″
MSRP: $1,099

All the bows in the Halon line feature a version of the “crosscentric” cam, which is half circular (like the No-Cam) and half lobed. Mathews is promising the best of both worlds from this design: a smooth draw and more speed.
