While the States are embarrassingly saddled with such whiney antihunting entertainers as Alec Baldwin, Pam Anderson, Mary Tyler Moore and the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, the down-but-not-out fox hunters of Great Britain have brought in some pretty heavy-hitting musicians to mount a pro-hunting concert in England.

Headlining the seven-hour show is legendary guitarist Eric Clapton. He’ll be joined by Bryan Ferry, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and Nick Mason, Roger Daltrey of the Who and Mike Rutherford of Genesis and Mike and the Mechanics. Clapton’s publicist told reporters that while the rocker doesn’t hunt, he is an avid shooter who disagrees with the government’s efforts to interfere in people’s private pursuits.
