# Protesting “Gun-Free” Zones

A group called the Students for Concealed Carry on College Campuses (SCCCC) plans to [protest](<https://www.douva.com/sccc/press.htm>) the folly of "gun-free" zones:

How effective will this protest be? John Lott gets to the heart of the matter [here](<https://johnrlott.blogspot.com/2007/10/i-wish-them-good-luck-with-this-but.html>). Assuming these students are able to coordinate their efforts, it could be a watershed event in the push for gun rights on campus.

It might even inject some much-needed reality into the broader debate about guns and crime.
