Three things from Rod’s story jumped out: Joel is 22 years old—the young guns are kicking ass this season, that’s great for hunting; the energetic Joel bowhunts hard every day after work—all that time in the tree is how you get the big ones; finally, Joel’s giant officially scored 211 gross and 198 1/8 before 60-day drying—no doubt in my mind that will be the biggest TYPICAL shot in North America in 2007.
