One Rocky Ride

I WAS RIDING DOWN A STEEP EMBANKMENT ON MY WAY BACK TO ELK CAMP WHEN SUDDENLY MY HORSE STUMBLED.

THE HORSE FELL HARD, PINNING MY LEFT LEG BENEATH ITS BODY. IT THEN SCRAMBLED TO ITS FEET AND IN A PANIC TOOK OFF RUNNING WITH MY FOOT STILL WEDGED INSIDE THE STIRRUP!

I WAS DRAGGED AND SLAMMED ACROSS THE ROCKS AS HOOVES STRUCK DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO MY HEAD.

THE HORSE PULLED ME ABOUT 60 YARDS BEFORE I FINALLY FREED MYSELF. I WAS PRETTY BEATEN UP, BUT, THANKFULLY, I HADN'T BEEN TRAMPLED.
