Honda FourTrax

Honda FourTrax

Honda Electric Power Steering (EPS) makes its debut on the FourTrax Foreman 4x4. EPS senses the handlebar torque applied by the operator as well as the ATV's speed to determine the correct amount of steering assistance required. More assistance is provided in rough terrain and at low speeds to decrease steering effort, while less assistance is provided at higher speeds. The Foreman also features a longitudinally mounted air-cooled engine and a five-speed transmission with push-button electric shift control and selectable TraxLok all-wheel drive. Honda kicks its redesigned Rancher up a notch with a more-powerful 420cc liquid-cooled engine, replacing the old 329cc air-cooled model. Fuel injection provides improved starting in cold weather. New dual front disc brakes offer improved performance. The new body incorporates flowing fenders with integrated headlights and LED taillights. Honda FourTrax

Yamaha Grizzly 700 FL
The new Grizzly 700 FL debuts YEPS (Yamaha Electric Power Steering), which uses an electric motor to provide power-assisted steering, especially handy when the front differential is locked. It also isolates the rider from steering kickback in rough terrain. A new fuel-injected 686cc engine makes this the most powerful Grizzly ever, and the Ultramatic transmission and drivetrain have been upgraded accordingly. Effort was made to lower the center of gravity (the 5.3-gallon fuel tank is below the seat, for example) to make the big Grizzly less work to ride. Other features include push-button On Command 4WD, independent rear suspension, front and rear hydraulic brakes and new racks designed to accommodate hard boxes or bags. Yamaha Grizzly 700 FL
