Just in time for Halloween, some very freaky antelope photos are rolling in. One of them is my Wyoming pronghorn. Stress on the prong.

This freaky antelope was reportedly shot near Last Chance, Colorado by hunter Van Franke.

This one is my Wyoming pronghorn. Stress on the prong. I hunted hours for this split-horned buck, as temperatures plummeted from the mid 50s to the low 20s. I missed a shot north of 200 yards after I sat square in a patch of very prickly pear cactus, then finally anchored him at under 50 yards after a wind-blown stalk. Have a great Halloween, and don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour before you turn in Saturday night.

Non-typicals don’t just happen in the woods, but occur on the prairies, too.
