Fort Worth, Texas was home to one of the largest taxidermy auctions in the world last weekend when 900 mounts were liquidated in the World Class Big Game Trophy & Western Auction.
The event showcased a variety of exotic mounts including lions, rhinos, hippos, monkeys and of course huge whitetail deer.
"We have a lot of high quality mounts--quality we have never seen before," said John Brommel, owner of the Corner Shoppe in Austin and sale organizer.
The even also featured a number of full body mounts including: African and American porcupine, arctic fox, bat eared fox, blue duiker, bongo, Canadian lynx, Chinese water deer, hyena, sitatunga, muntjack, whitetail, mule deer and Wolf.
The Texas Grand Slam: Texas Dall, Corsican Ram, Black Hawaiian Ram and Mouflon Ram.
Shoulder and half body mounts include Addax, Bighorn Stone Sheep, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Desert Bighorn, Dall Sheep, Hippo, Wart Hog, Zebra.
