Hunting On the Road With Ray Chasing Spring host, Ray Eye, traveled to Michigan to present at Outdoorama. By Ray Eye | Published Mar 2, 2011 2:58 AM Hunting SHARE Chasing Spring cruised to Michigan for the Outdoorama sports show. The big screen video projection presentation of Chasing Spring rocked the house. The Birds of Prey at the Outdoorama were a huge draw. Chasing Spring fan Matthew Jensen and son Josh came to Outdoorama just to meet me. I’m always flattered by my fans and thankful for each one I get. Fellow professional outdoorsman father and son team Fred Abbas and Greg Abbas also presented seminars during Outdoorama. A huge sand box for kids was one of the coolest things at the show. I hung out with the Huron Valley NWTF turkey boys during Outdoorama. Large crowds were the norm all weekend long as hunters, and fisherman jammed the aisles. This is the main entrance to one of Michigan’s biggest sports shows. Here’s the Michigan NWTF turkey boys working the show. Parking lot workers park cars as snow continued falling throughout the weekend. Show time on stage A of the Outdoorama with Chasing Spring. Showspan show manager Adam Starr, Lisa Dalm, and Outdoorama PR director, outdoor writer and famous bird hunter, Tom Huggler. Showspan, Outdoorama really takes care of seminar speakers with an excellent comfortable high quality hotel. Snow was piled everywhere in route to Outdoorama. This is the hotel restaurant, Toasted Oak Grill & Market, which was a great place to unwind after a long day at the show. They serve an unbelievable cider brined pork chop and a killer Porchetta pork roast. And the best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. There were plenty of raffles and chances on guns throughout the show floor. These pretty ladies volunteered from the audience to come up front and demonstrate how easy it is to use turkey calls for the first time. Here I’m waiting on deck as the next speaker to go on stage.
