These photos come from Chapleau, which is located 120 miles west of Timmins, Ontario. The anglers were fishing when they came upon a moose cow and this calf on a very small island. Eventually, the cow took off for the main shore and the calf followed. The anglers turned the corner of the island and saw that the calf was struggling to make it ashore. Not even half way there, the calf started to go underwater. As the anglers started to get closer the it stopped moving. One of the anglers grabbed the calf by the ears and hauled it into the boat.Once in the boat, the calf coughed a few times and then started breathing again. The anglers motored over toward the shore where the mother moose was waiting. With shaky legs, the calf made its way back to its mother.
