I was supposed to meet my buddy Justin at his small hunting cabin after a day of bowhunting. When he didn’t show, I set out for his stand.

I was about 100 yards down the logging road when I heard a grunt behind me.

Before I could turn around with my flashlight…

…a rutted-up buck smashed into my right side, snared my jacket on his antler and took off through the woods at a sprint–with me along for the ride.

I bounced off saplings and the deer’s body for about 50 yards. Finally, he stopped and tossed me.

Aside from scrapes and bruises, I was okay. Justin soon found me and helped me to the cabin.
