Tiger Woods might be ranked as the world’s best golfer, but there’s one other cat prowling the links that he certainly wants nothing to do with. Earlier this year, a cougar was spotted by golfers at the Spring Valley Lake country club in southern California as it padded across the fairway. Police and California State Fish and Game officials were notified and soon found the mountain lion crouched down in some brush on the golf course where it had been eyeing golfers, the Victorville Daily Press reported. Tiger can breathe easy, however, since the officers on the scene opted to shoot the cougar–a full-grown female–before hauling it away.
