World Record Sharks
It’s summer, and time to think about the sun, beach, fishing, and sharks.
![]() Hard-fighting and common is the blacktip shark, and this 270-pound, 9-ouncer is the biggest on record. It was landed by Jurgen Oeder in September, 1984 off Malindi Bay, Kenya, Africa. AdvertisementADVERTISEMENT |

Wow those are some massive sharks.
If I'm going to go after something so big it can eat me in a bite or two, I prefer to be on land and be carrying a very big gun ;-)
NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT ! ! !
To bad pic's 14/15 are the same fish.
I think i will stick to my catfish and bass, not too big on sharks, but those are giants..
Chief...we need a bigger boat!
Man those are some big fish! I'm glad i haven't ran into any of them while taking a relaxing dip at the beach!
All I know is that would take me a long time to eat one of those big fish!!!
those are some big sharks, the fight would be very hard though.
why isnt the biggest great white shark on here caught in the 40's at 7500 lbs and over 21 feet long???
As in "Apocolypse Now" ---Never get off the boat! Those are some giant beasts. Can we say apex predator?
