Leftover Michigan Fall Turkey Licenses

Didn’t draw a Michigan fall turkey permit in the recent online lottery? You’re not alone. A number of my buddies didn’t either. They might still find a way to hunt autumn flocks there this season. Say what?

Sure enough, as of this writing, 48,960 Michigan fall turkey licenses are still up for grabs.

Most remaining licenses are for private land use, but some general licenses remain too. A hunter may buy one daily until the quota is reached, assuming you have the turkey hunting budget for it.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment said the licenses go on sale online (and at all license vendors) at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30. Most are in southern Michigan.
