Indeed nice shack anybody got plans for this one. I have looked around on the net and vary little info with regaurd to dimensions and material. My bud and I are in construction mode and hope to have something on the ice in the next week or so.
This is what it's all about. It has been said that, if your dog cost more than your truck, you might be a redneck! Same goes for the shanty. Rednecks know how, in an unpretentious manner, to get the most out of life!
I agree with SD whitetail hunter. There are some ice shacks that make you wonder how they don't fall throught the ice because of how big they are. Especially on lake Minnetonka and Mil Lacs lake
That is one very nice shack but I have to agree with Francis. Some of the mansions they come up with in minnesota and wisconsin. I've seen 2 level ice shacks that ARE lived in while the lake is frozen over.
Your pictures are show functionality, rustic ambiance, and rather basic comfortable plus for an "ice house" or ice shack. However, you folks should come to MN or WI where ice houses/shacks are works of "portable" art, architecture, and construction prowess!--Where homestyle comfort meets fishing function. [At a comfortable +72F degrees while the outside is minus -25F degrees!]
